What: World TeamTennis Smash Hits presented by Citi is an all-star charity tennis event co-hosted by Sir Elton John and Billie Jean King. The one-night event benefits the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF).

5:00pm: VIP Reception and Live Auction – (VIP ticket required)
6:30pm: World TeamTennis formatted tennis match with Elton John/Martina Navratilova vs. Andy Roddick/Maria Sharapova. 

This will be followed by a World TeamTennis tennis match featuring an all-star lineup playing one set each of men’s & women’s doubles, mixed doubles and men’s singles.  

Who: Co-hosted by Sir Elton John and Billie Jean King  
Two teams of tennis stars will be coached by Sir Elton John and Billie Jean King in a WTT match. Confirmed players include Maria Sharapova, Mardy Fish, John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Liezel Huber, Mark Philippoussis, Taylor Johnson and Andy Roddick. More players to be announced.

Tickets: All seating will be reserved and have chairbacks.

VIP Reception: The evening begins with a pre-match VIP Reception and Auction at 5:00 p.m. at Caesars Palace. Special VIP ticket packages, including VIP courtside seating and admission to the VIP Reception and Auction, are available for $545.
Charity: This year’s annual event will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF). 
Format: WTT team format – sets include singles, doubles and mixed doubles.  Sets are first to five games with a 9-point tiebreaker at 4-4.  Game scoring is no-ad and cumulative throughout the match.  Let serves are playable. Elton John is expected to participate in a celebrity doubles match to open the event.
History: Since 1993, WTT Smash Hits has raised more than $14 million for the Elton John AIDS Foundation and local AIDS charities. On the court, Team Elton has a 12-11 edge in the overall series after taking the 2015 event with a 17-11 win over Team Billie Jean.
Auction: Elton John, Billie Jean King and the players will participate in the pre-match live auction, which will include an Elton John signed piano bench and King’s Wimbledon tickets among other items.
