  • In May 2009, won singles title at Italian Open Grade A junior event.
  • Stephens had strong success in limited appearances on the USTA Pro Circuit in 2008, with two quarterfinals appearances at $10,000 events in Landisville, Pa., and Wichita, Kan., and advancing to the semifinals at the $10,000 event in Sumter, S.C.
  • Stephens also recorded a mixed doubles victory at the 2008 US Open with partner Robert Kendrick over the No. 1 ranked mixed doubles team of Daniel Nestor and Chia-Jung Chuang.
  • As a junior, Stephens won the doubles title at the 2008 Easter Bowl with Mallory Burdette in April, and following a third place finish at the USTA Girls’ 18s National Championships, the pair went on to reach the girls’ doubles final at the US Open.
